THRIVE LEARNING CENTER
Thrive Learning Center Inc. is a non-profit resource center that provides specialized educational and vocational services to individuals with unique abilities and diverse learning needs in Broward County, Florida. Our activities are designed to foster academic, social-emotional, and career success, with a strong emphasis on self-advocacy.
mission
To empower individuals with unique abilities to overcome educational barriers by celebrating their strengths, fostering a supportive learning environment, and providing personalized tools and resources. Our goal is to cultivate confident, independent lifelong learners who can thrive in diverse communities.
vision
Thrive Learning Center envisions a world where every individual with unique abilities has access to quality education, feels valued for their strengths, and is empowered to reach their full potential.
Our Story
Due to a persistent lack of support within the educational system, a group of determined mothers took the initiative to create their own private school, driven by a shared commitment to their daughters’ futures. Frustrated by overcrowded classrooms, under-resourced schools, and limited accommodations for diverse learning needs, these women realized that waiting for change was no longer an option. Drawing on their collective strengths, they organized community meetings and began building a curriculum that prioritized individualized attention, cultural relevance, and emotional well-being. Their grassroots effort not only filled a critical gap but also empowered families and inspired broader conversations about educational reform.
Our approach
Our approach includes individualized instruction, social-emotional learning, vocational training, and extracurricular opportunities to ensure every student develops academically, socially, and emotionally. By partnering with families and the broader community, Thrive Learning Center creates a nurturing environment where students overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
As we prepare to launch and grow, we aim to:
Expand our impact through vocational training, counseling, and extracurricular programs to support whole-student development.
Build a reputation as a leader in specialized education, offering unparalleled support and resources for students with learning disabilities.
